The party continue south and meet a dryad, who is thrilled that they have defeated the evil fungus and tells the group where the cannibals village lies, as well as where the nasty creature they keep hearing at night has its lair. Dorian manages to get some. The group decide that it is time to rid the island of its cannibal infestation at last.
They figure that the best option will be to start yb ambushing any oyster divers as they are harvesting and set up a blind. They wait for a day or two but head back to the dryad's place for a little disease recovery before returning to their hiding spot, not noticing hte fresh footprints around their blind.
The party is then surprised when Ron doesn't notice the entire cannibal tribe sneaking up on them, and a massive brawl follows, where the party eventually manages to win the day.

Let me guess, ambushing pearl divers was Jason's.
ReplyDeleteNo, trying to get all the pearls was Jason. Hanging round for an ambush was secondary to this.
ReplyDeleteLol so did we get all the pearls?
ReplyDeleteThe ambush was not my idea, the idea to wait more than 3 hours after the ambush plan was put forward however was. Constant battle to make them stay a week.
ReplyDeleteStill think the best plan was to get the kenku, light the vegepygmy home on fire and trap/defend the causeway and pull the aggressive psychos to this side of the island - and away from their traps, base and well known/travelled routes nevermind our charges.
I didn't fuss though as my deley job was done now we had 2nd level spells, 2d6 healing bursts/bombs etc I was fairly confident no matter how much we stuffed it up with our own wimping and aggression... and stuff it we did.
Pearls are 1st thing next session.
