A long argument about climbing the mountain ensues, before Ron stomps off to find a poisonous snake to activate the tidal stone. The group decide to rest and establish that the water stays down for about 6 hours.
In the morning the group lower the water again, using a fresh snake (the previous one having been thrown into the ocean) and consider alternatives like use magic device, or perhaps a monster summoning I spell to summon a poisonous snake. And deafness.
The descend to the slippery rocks and kill a shark, and defeat a mighty water mephit and his spear urchin crewman on the wrecked ship.
Then it's in through the creepy looking doors, where a couple of lizardfolk skeletons atop a bridge across the first room in the complex. The skeletons are defeated, the combat assisted by the skeletons jumping 40' to the floor below once they ran out of javelins.
